Woven together

Take one minute today to notice something you depend on that you did not make.

Marcus Aurelius wrote that all things are woven together and have an affinity for one another. He meant it plainly: nothing lives alone. Today, pick one thing you rely on and trace it back a few steps. The water in your glass, the wood of your table, the bee behind this morning's jam. You are one strand in that weave. Caring for the rest of it is not a chore added to your life. It is your life, seen clearly.
