One day. One change.

Day 20 · Reflection

Kintsugi

Mend one thing today instead of replacing it, and let the repair show.

Kintsugi is the Japanese craft of mending broken pottery with gold. The crack is not hidden. It becomes the most beautiful line on the bowl. Hold that thought about the world. A river cleaned, a hillside replanted, a bog re-wetted: damaged is not broken forever, and the repair, done with care, becomes part of the beauty. Today, mend one thing instead of replacing it, and do it visibly. It is the same habit at a different scale, and the scale grows.
